The Florence experience
Florence was designed and built in its essence by the great architects of the Quattrocento such as Alberti, Brunelleschi and Michelozzo. Walking through its streets is inspiring. The centuries-old work of the great masters piles up in front of you with their forms, perspective and ornamentation. How much can be learning in Florence by studying the history of its architecture. I was there, and I was nourished by all that beauty. A bit of Florence always appears in all my designs. It is a small light that illuminates everything.
